As one regime swaps places with another at the helm of the American Empire, don’t compromise. Joe Biden is not going to stop the super typhoons drowning the Philippines or wildfires scorching California with green capitalism. Kamala Harris is not going to bring about black liberation with implicit bias training for cops. The Democrats are going to keep taking money from Raytheon, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and other war profiteers who will call for sanctions, regime change, and full-blown war to satisfy shareholders. All the while, Republicans mount a half-hearted soft coup to agitate the most reactionary forces and provide a blueprint for a future power grab.

With a quarter million dead from COVID, countless people unable to pay rent or buy food, and those with the most precarious jobs forced to labor for the profits of their bosses and the convenience of the professional managerial class, there is nothing to celebrate except that the people now see this game is rigged.

Another world is more than possible, it is necessary. While we build it, don’t forget who your friends and enemies are. All bosses are bastards. All workers are essential.
